The highlight of the street is, no doubt, Stroganov Church (Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary), which is a masterpiece of the Russian Baroque Style. There are memorable places, associated with the name of Maxim Gorky and his famous work «Na dne» (The Lower Depths), in Rozhdestvenskaya Street.
Verkhne-Volzhskaya embankment will delight you with the beauty of the merchant’s manors, most luxurious of them is the museum-estate of the merchant Rukavishnikov.
